Why you should Stop Acting a Role and Be Yourself!

Updated: Apr 3

Why are you expecting to attract people who are on the same path than you when you are acting various roles in your Life…

We are all conditioned since our childhood to behave in a certain way that I would call the “automatically mode.” This conditioning is driving our daily behavior and our belief system to think and act like it’s common to play a role to be part of the system.

We’ve been told there is a correct path in life to take. We’ve been lead to believe we should stay conform at the norm and follow rules to suits the interests of our Society. Follow the safe and secure path.

Why shouldn’t we? I mean, expressing ourselves requires us to expose to others and to face judgments for being different.

At this point, you’re going to meet people who are intimidated by you. You are different, and people don’t know how to react or how to accept people who don’t follow the crowd.

They do not know how to behave with someone who expresses his uniqueness, so they will try to make you feel like you are weird or damaged.

So who wants to be the odd guy that no one understands? It’s so much more comfortable acting the same way that your friends, co-workers, parents to fit into this matrix that they call society…. Right!

It is even more problematic when you are looking for a relationship.

What kinds of person are you going to attract if you are acting a role…. It is already challenging to find a soulmate. So how much more times will you need if you are not yourself. You cannot expect to connect with someone when you are playing a role and wearing a mask.

Do not expect to attract people who have the same vision, the same life purpose or the same level than you if you are not yourself.

Preconceived images of each other cloak almost everyone we meet according to the role they play about us. We can spend a whole day with someone and never truly interact with each other due to the characters we act through.

Have you ever spend a whole day with your friends, colleague, family, and still feel lonely?

If the answer is yes, I encourage you to start truly expressing yourself; you might find that it catches on to the people around you. By letting go of the arbitrary limits on yourself and interacting with everyone freely and happily, it can be a symbol to other people that they also don’t need to act in a certain, limited way.

It can be an incredibly powerful obstruction to our happiness and ability to accept the present moment and who we really are.

The first step is to be aware that you are acting a role in various aspects of your life. This awareness will help you free yourself.

Then learn to love yourself, express yourself and save you precious time by being who you really are! I can guarantee you that it won’t only change your life but it will lead you to find your own-worth; drive you towards your dreams.

Spend time with people who are good for your mental health. Don’t forget to acknowledge how great it is to be around someone who lights you up.

Why are you making things so damn hard for yourself by surrounding people who are not matched with you?

Wouldn’t it be wonderful just to let go of all expectations and just be authentic?

To your personal growth…
